china-flag.gif

Did you know that there are 56 different ethnicities of people in China?  The Han Chinese make up about 92% of the population.  The other 8% is made up of different minority groups such as the Zhuang, Manchu, Hui, Uyghur, Yi, Mongol, Tibetan, and Yao, just to name a few.

The vastness of China's geographical features is stunning, the diversity of its people and languages mind-boggling, and its history extensive.  There is much to learn about China!  This unit we will get a taste of this rising power.
